If we are to take this at face value, Feminism seems then to be all about either 1) being angry about being female, or 2) being angry about how some others (both women and men) perceive females. Neither of which you can change. So it would seem to be a useless philosophy.

It also seems to be based on the assumption that men's lives are carefree and peachy, filled with adventure, power and fulfillment (the grass is always greener syndrome), which is another misperception.

Have a better tomorrow.

A good question, frequently asked, never satisfactorily answered! I too have a sweet, feminist-minded husband (though he would not call himself that). And to be fair he picks up a lot of slack around the house, but the point that has struck me lately is that I am the one who is judged by outsiders for the presentation of our home. I am the one who fears a visit from his mother because I know that her snitching in the car on the way home won't be about why her son hadn't mopped the floors but why I hadn't... or perhaps this fear of mine simply belies my own internalisation of more than a few cultural expectations!

Hi dear...I promise I haven't forgotten you and I'm definately not ignoring you, but I am perhaps the worst friend ever for promising to respond to your paper and never getting back. I'm sorry...I have no excuse at all. I'm just...well, I got nothing. I'm sorry. However, I am pleased to know that you didn't need my help at all. Surely I will see you next time I'm in Jackson, which may be forever, but I'll let you know. xoxo
